Red Aloes, City Views, and a POV Camera: Our First Adventure at The Wilds

We're kicking off an adventure that will span the next 12 weeks

An attempt to showcase different people using our amazing devices in different ways in real world adventure settings, and we embarked on our first adventure last Saturday.

First stop: The Wilds — a 16-hectare slice of evergreen calm just minutes from inner-city Joburg. It wasn’t the obvious choice. That’s exactly why we chose it.

This campaign is about more than showcasing gear. It’s about proving that real African creativity doesn’t need exotic backdrops. It just needs the right perspective.

1. Why The Wilds?

Still green in the dead of winter

Koppies and footpaths layered with city views

Waterfalls and fountains with zero artificial staging

2. What We Used

The Insta360 X4 for 360 photos and videos

Ray-Ban Metas to capture subtle, ambient walking POV

3. What We Captured

Close-ups of winter bloom

Footpaths and glorious sunshine

Waterfall shots in slow-mo

4. Next Up: Want to Join Us?

Next weekend we’re heading to another unexpected spot in Gauteng. This time, we’re inviting select creators, photographers, and camera nerds to join the crew.

Slots are limited. POV footage is not.
