How to Use
With the camera
Open the camera’s USB cover and plug the Quick Reader into the USB-C port until it clicks.
When connected, the camera auto-saves to the Quick Reader’s microSD by priority.
To remove, unplug the reader and reinstall the USB cover.
With a phone/tablet
Install/open the Insta360 app.
Plug the Quick Reader directly into your phone:
USB-C for Android / iPad / iPhone 15+, or
Lightning for older iPhone/iPad models.
Browse, edit and export files in-app. (On Android, if prompted, enable OTG and select the Quick Reader folder in Settings ▸ Quick Reader.)
As a charger
Use the reader’s USB-C charging port to power your phone while editing/exporting.
Spare microSD
Use the built-in storage slot to carry an extra microSD card (storage only).
Notes & Tips
The Quick Reader’s USB-C port is for charging only (no data).
Do not use the Quick Reader underwater or in wet environments. Remove it after use and close the camera’s USB cover securely.
For Android phones, enable OTG if required. Some devices that don’t support exFAT (e.g., certain Google Pixel models) can’t read Quick Reader files. Honor 90GT and some Vivo phones are not compatible.
When charging devices through the Quick Reader during recording or exporting, the reader may briefly disconnect and reconnect after ~3 seconds; files/edits typically recover and an on-screen prompt lets you resume exports.
Avoid high-vibration activities (off-road biking, jumps) with the reader attached to prevent loosening.
When not using the reader, remove it and reinstall the camera’s USB cover to maintain weather protection.
