Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses are AI glasses designed for high-intensity activities. They combine Oakley’s sport-focused design with Meta’s AI technology to provide real-time fitness insights (with select Garmin devices sold separately), hands-free photo and video capture, and open-ear bluetooth audio.

• Design: Vanguard is built for more extreme, high intensity sports like mountain biking and skiing; HSTN is built for lower impact, casual sports like golfing.
• Audio: Vanguard has more powerful open-ear speakers (6dB louder than HSTN).
• Lens options: Vanguard uses wrap-around Prizm™ Transitions® lenses optimized for sports; HSTN offers a wider variety of lens options.

Not at this time. Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses do not have built-in sensors to track physical activity or steps independently. Instead, they integrate with compatible Garmin smartwatches and cycling computers (sold separately) to provide real-time fitness data and insights via Meta AI.

Oakley Meta Vanguard is compatible with the Meta AI app, Garmin fitness devices (sold separately), and Strava. It also supports music apps like Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music via open-ear speakers.
